Fast track professional MBA

The University of Georgia Terry College of business is offering its second version of the Executive MBA program. This program would replace the college’s evening MBA program and it would be known as Fast track professional MBA. The classes would be held on the evenings of week days and on some selected Saturdays. The Fast track professional MBA program is one among the three courses which is offered by the college. This course is a two year program and it allows a group of people to graduate as a class. It also aims at imparting the skills of personal leadership development. It has a model that has the dual benefits of face to face interaction along with structured distance learning with almost half the content delivered through electronic data transfer technology.

First Maritime University Inaugurated in India

The first Indian Maritime academic university was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M Karunanidhi. The university is the first of its kind; the industry is expecting good output of shipping professionals. The university is situated at a sea side venue in Uthandi and it would begin its academic year in June 2009.

The Union shipping minister TR Baalu was also present at the inaugural function stated that the university has tied up with Dalian Maritime University for MBA in Port management, with Shanghai Maritime University and Antwerp University for MBA in international transportation and logistics management, with University of Malta for a degree in maritime law and with Delft University, Netherlands for a degree course in dredging.
