A Drastic Rise In The Number Of Women For CAT
With a constant rise in the number of aspirants of the IIM in each year, the number of women who are attempting the common admission test has also been rising over the years. This year out of the 2.76 lakhs of candidates, who have taken up the common admission test, nearly 54000 of them are women. Arks Srinivas, the director of Triumphant Education says that there has almost been an increase of twenty percent in the number of women participants. He also adds that this is due to the availability of opportunities in the in the finance sector, human resource and the marketing sector. As per the estimates only 13% of the aspirants get a chance in the IIM’s and on the count of 54000 women there are 13% who are getting the chance of a call in the IIM’s. However there has not been much rise seen in the number of women in the IIM’s.
